Our activities on the theme : Entrepreneurship

Many of the challenges related to the environment, agriculture and food and nutrition security can be addressed with an entrepreneurial approach that is likely to ensure greater sustainability of interventions.

Where appropriate, ACED adopts an entrepreneurial approach to support communities to create business opportunities that can improve their livelihoods.

Our achievements

ACED has mapped more than 50 business opportunities in the agribusiness sector that are tailored to the profiles of young people.

An entrepreneurial approach developed since 2013 has reduced the proliferation of water hyacinth and improved the income of farmers and women basket makers.

ACED supported capacity building of allotment gardens participants who were able to transform their activity into a commercial venture. The allotment gardens have secured farming contracts and are able to cover their production costs and make profit without any further support from us.

ACED conducted a large national survey on agricultural entrepreneurship in Benin that provides the most recent and comprehensive knowledge on the entrepreneurial dynamics in the agricultural sector in Benin.
