Donald Houessou

Director of Operations
Donald Houessou is ACED’s Director of Operations. He coordinates the operations of the center and ensures that they effectively contribute to the achievement of the organization’s mission. He has extensive experience in program management, research and impact evaluation in the areas of food and nutrition security, community resilience, common goods, fisheries, and urban food systems. Donald has conducted several national and international consulting missions for multilateral organizations such as the World Bank, the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the African Development Bank (AfDB) and the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF). Donald is an agricultural economist and is conducting his PhD at the Athena Institute of the Free University of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His thesis focuses on the development of an operational framework for the development of urban agriculture in Benin.
